Robin DPDC25

So I was working with this little birdie from doodlepantry.  I knew I wanted him to be a lil robin so I got out my brown and red colored pencils.  After he was done I wanted to make him christmassy and my goal lately is to use up scraps while I am cleaning out my craft space.  I had a sage green piece of card just a little larger than an A-4 sized card and decided to use that, The holly and diamond print were from the scrap drawer and I used the extra from the sage card to make the sentiment border.   My 1st card is to the left but I was not at all happy with the result.  Hmm......  I decided to shorten the diamond paper and then added a punched border.  I moved the sentiment border to the bottom and used a small piece of the cut off border to highlight the sentiment.  I added doodle dots around the punched border and then used a ribbon rose as the center of a 2layer flower I punched out of the scraps of the holly paper.  Here is card 2 I am much happier with card 2 Hope you like it and wish the joy and happiness of the holiday season find you today!

Almost forgot to add I am entering him in Doodle Pantry Challenge.

  1. Both cards are cute. If I didn't like my first card I don;t think I would have the guts to add it to my blog post LOL! So I admire you for doing that. The little birdie looks so happy and what a wonderful idea to make him Christmassy. I would have never thought of that. Thanks for joining is at the Doodle Pantry challenge!
