New Challenge from SCC

Head on over to Simply Challenged Challenges for the details and rules.  Don't forget that you HAVE to use an SBS image for a chance at the prize.
For this Challenge the whole DT is using an image from the
 Teen Scene Munster Birthday Collection.

My image is Chris Munster

So I followed the instructions and lightened the lines till I could barely see them printed Chris out and started coloring.  It is a really neat technique and I do hope you all give it a go.  What a fantastic image for a teen's birthday!!!

Now check out the rest of the cards our Fabulous DT created for some amazing inspiration!

Betty Burlesque 2 New Release Blog Hop!!!

Hi all hope you had a great Valentine's Day yesterday!!

On to the hop, now you should have reached me by way of Trish
if not hop on over to Simply B Stamps Blog to start at the beginning.
Introducing "Betty swinging on a star".  The background is a series of squares and circles layered
to resemble a quilt.  She is colored with copics.
Next we have "Betty sweet cake",Just a simple birthday card but really how sexy is she????

Warning: the next 2 projects are a little photo heavy!

So my daughters birthday party is this Sunday and we have held back her presents till then
so Emily has not even seen this yet.  Here we have "Betty Shower Surprise " adorning a recycled
and dressed up gift box.  I created a little bath set complete with brush and sprayer.  The
Teddy was just to cute not to throw in the box as well.

 Box front with sentiment.

When you open the window this is what you see.
Just a close up.  I colored Betty with copics.  I added lace, the flower, the cut out border and the patterned paper to dress up the packaging.  Bet she won't be throwing this box out :)

Last project featuring the last 3 Burlesques:
"Betty Grand Piano", "Betty Pucker Up" and "Betty sexy legs".
So I found this old wooden jewelry box at a thrift store for $1.00 here is the outside
And the inside Not very pretty right, so I spray painted it white, light enough you can still
see that pattern from the original. Now to decorate.
.
I mentioned Emily's b-day above and here is another gift for her.
She takes piano lessons so it just had to be "Betty Grand Piano" colored again
with copics, of course for the cover.  Then lots  of ribbon, flowers and no forgetting
the Bling! So here's the cover and a closeup of Betty.

On to the inside I added designer paper to all the backs, bottoms and drawer.  I chose
"Betty Pucker Up" for the top shelf as I wanted to add a mirror since my girl
loves her lip gloss. I added a butterfly and a charm that says Fly.

Last, but not least comes the bottom of the box so now our last Betty of this set,
"Betty Sexy Legs"
Oo-la-la
The charm here says dance, especially with those legs right!  Not too much going on the bottom so
there is plenty of storage space so the charm and sentiment only.

Here is a closeup of sexy legs as well as the above shelf which has a dream charm.

Here is the complete inside together.  The pink lace at the bottom outside goes all the way around
the box and it has a daisy motif that I then added half pearls to the center of each.  Last charm is a heart that says Beauty.
I really hope you enjoyed my projects, but even more I hope you enjoyed the fun
new "Betty Burlesque Line"
Below you will find the complete hop list in case you are lost.  Have fun, but don't forget to
leave a little Happy comment for each artist who is sharing with you today.
Have a wonderful Friday to All!

Yeah it's New Challenge Day!!!!

Valentine Day Card Challenge

Just create a Valentine card that's it, that's all and we all know it's right around the corner anyway.  Don't forget if you want a chance to win the prize you MUST use a SBS image:)
Here is what I created using Teen Scene Valentine Steampunk image "My Heart A Flutter Christian"

Here is my Sepia attempt, he is colored with copics and I wanted to keep it on the masculine side
alas I had to add just a little pink.  I just carried the hearts and cogs theme to the center of the card as well.  Hope you like my card and don't forget to leave a lil comment for all the talented DT.

SBS Release day,Yay!!!

Introducing the new line from Simply Betty Stamps

"Mythical Teens"

These are so adorable and the fun and fantasy Betty has given us is sure to spark some creative ideas!  For my project I put together another book that I rescued from a trash bin and oddly enough it was an old art book.  Here is what it looks like now.....

My cover using "London Nymph, Lola Fairy and 2(I reversed 1) Miller Fairy Boy".  I painted the cover of the book with purple acrylics.  While it was drying I colored my fey with copics.  I clear heat embossed all the wings a number of times as well as the sentiment.  Then it just became a matter of the embellishments.  A pendent from a necklace, placed atop a paper flower became my closure.  the spirals were cut from a designer paper(that was not my most fav.), but I liked the spirals.  The blue is a gift package topper with a bead added to the center.  Hope you like my cover.
Just a close up of my colors.

Introducing "Betty Fawn Queen, Jude Faun Prince and Chris Faun King"  I colored these with copics before I had any idea of what my page was going to look like.  After coloring I kept picturing a May pole dance, so that is what I created.  The original book pages are showing I just used 3 different ink pads to "color" the background then I stamped grass and blue flower silhouettes along the bottom.  My May pole is just ribbon and a bamboo skewer.  The flowers are all from my stash and then come the music notes from an old book.  This is a journal page.......
My hidden journal spots :)

Just Close Ups

Here we have "Christian Merboy and Siren Rio".  For this page I created my own designer paper with pool party and midnight muse inks from stampin up as well as a sheet of bubble wrap.  I colored my merfolk with copics and just played with some stamping.  Can you tell where my pockets and tags are????
 Coloring close ups
 The tags!

I hope you had as much fun looking at my book as I did creating it :D
Now hop on over to Louise's blog to see what she has created.  If you have not been hopping along, here is the complete list so you can start at the, well start lol  have fun, I can't wait to see what you all create with these amazing images.  Thank you Betty !!!!!!
