Blue Fairy

Here is my entry for challenge 22 at Saturated Canary .  The challenge was to use black and white plus one.  I chose to use blue as my optional color.  Isn't Whispy just the cutest little winter fairy ever!  I colored her with my pencils then paper pieced part of her dress.  I chose a blue swirl pattern to add to my white card base.  Cut out the background with nestabilities, and added black and white lace.  Whispy is popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment I stamped in versamark dazzle then added pearl ex in true blue to give it some shimmer.  I added little gems at the bottom of Whispy's skirt and the center of the snowflakes on the sentiment.  The flower is from stampin ups embosslit called sweetest stem and the flower head is cut out of a piece of Christmas ribbon. Thank you for looking and leaving comments, have a wonderful evening.

Simply Betty Challenge 7-7

Here is my entry to the light/dark challenge at Simply Betty's challenge site.  I used an image that I won from Betty over a year ago.  Luckily when my computer went down and I lost a ton of files while hubby rebuilt it this was one I had backed up.  The card and sentiment is made for my daughter who loves to be a girly girl as much as she likes goth.  I love this challenge as it showcases how each light or dark has their own individual beauty.  Anyway she is colored with pencils I added bling to the wings.  Used the ribbon on her background to make leaves for the flowers.  The center of the flowers were stickers from a kit someone gave me and the flowers were from the Mambi Chips cheers pack.  My wish is for you to be you always.

CFC challenge

Here is my CFC card for At outlawz!  Love this elegant lady!  Punch is a MS, frame is from nestabilities and the sentiment is a sticker!  Digi is colored using pencils.  A wish that the elegance of the past never disappears!

Doodle Dino

How amazingly cute is this little guy from Doodle Pantry!  I am entering him in their challenge.  Here is another card made from the scrap bin, all except the base anyway.  He will go to the Childrens Hospital Donation Pile.  I am also entering him in the Sketch challenge at Outlawz.  If you have not visited Outlawz challenges yet you should it's a wonderful site full of creative people who are very warm and friendly!

Robin DPDC25

So I was working with this little birdie from doodlepantry.  I knew I wanted him to be a lil robin so I got out my brown and red colored pencils.  After he was done I wanted to make him christmassy and my goal lately is to use up scraps while I am cleaning out my craft space.  I had a sage green piece of card just a little larger than an A-4 sized card and decided to use that, The holly and diamond print were from the scrap drawer and I used the extra from the sage card to make the sentiment border.   My 1st card is to the left but I was not at all happy with the result.  Hmm......  I decided to shorten the diamond paper and then added a punched border.  I moved the sentiment border to the bottom and used a small piece of the cut off border to highlight the sentiment.  I added doodle dots around the punched border and then used a ribbon rose as the center of a 2layer flower I punched out of the scraps of the holly paper.  Here is card 2 I am much happier with card 2 Hope you like it and wish the joy and happiness of the holiday season find you today!

Almost forgot to add I am entering him in Doodle Pantry Challenge.

Gnome B-day

Here is my entry to Dustin Pikes newest challenge.  Hip to be square, my card is a 6x6 red base, not sure why but the red and purple really stuck with me when I was coloring this little guy.  Anyway he is done in colored pencil, and done with mostly scraps.  The purple striped border was an upcycle from an old note card I found in my desk.  the polka dot were in my scrap bin.  The light purple was another upcycle.  It is from a stack of grocery notes, I cut off what I had used and had 3quarters of the note paper left.  That is what I stamped happy on as well.  Wishing you many happy birthday's to come!

Sweet Sixteen!

Here is my card for the
saturated canary challenge
Don't you just love this image! Right now she is a freebie from saturated canary.  This challenge was Bling it on.  I decided right away to do a sweet sixteen card.  She will go in with the Children's Hospital Bundle.  I colored her with pencils, added my baby pearls to her hair, little silver rhinestones to the center of the flowers in her hair and the skirt of her dress.  I pictured a tulle skirt sprinkled with bling.  She is on a black 6x6 card base. the green designer paper reminded me of my great grandmothers parlor wallpaper which is what inspired the oval behind her.  I printed out the banner backed it with a purple designer paper and backed that with black and gold fleur d lis paper.  More bling with purple rhinestones on the top and sides and a tiny yellow rose with a spray of bling to finish her off.  I wish all of you feel as beautiful as this image is.  No matter how you look on the outside You are Beautiful!

Lil Emmy Liberty Card

Here I have used my lil Emmy Liberty digi on a card celebrating my Country for the
Outlawz Greetings Party Challenge and the 2 sisters challenge

I used a mountain background paper I cut out a white scallop and then a smaller stars and stripes scallop using nestabilities.  The music notes were from a stampin up wheel one in real red and one in pacific point which I adhered together.  I printed out the O Beautiful and then placed it on a red banner I hand cut.  Liberty was colored with stampin up markers wild wasabi and certainly celery for the greens.  I popped her up on foam tape and added a little star bling and called her done.
My wish for you today is for peace in your daily life!

Raspberry Ripple!

I am very happy with the way my card turned out.  I am entering her in 3 different challenges this week.
Some odd girls sketch challenge and Tiny Tia here is from SOG,
 The Outlawz
Papertake weekly anything goes challenge.

I hope it resembles the sketch a little, to me summer is colorful bright sunny days cool blue waters and for my little girl lots of bling! whether it is glittered flip flops and head bands or sparkly rainbow swim suits it all about happy colors and fun.

I did do a square card which is out of the norm for me just a plain white card base.  The background paper is from creative imaginations swirls of yellow-orange, raspberry and blues filled the 12x12 sheet. Next a line of sticky strip to add some cool white lace across the blue bottom.  A scrap or raspberry ribbon tied across the top gave it the color I wanted and hid the finger gathered lace top.  The pink strip along the side is a scrap from a Heidi Grace paper and although you can't tell in the photo it has a shimmer to it.  The yellow behind that is another scrap bin piece that has a slight embossed leaf and flower image on it.  Tia the crowning glory of the card is done in colored pencil.  The white oval was embossed with square lattice from stampin up. The pink oval was embossed using a Darcie folder then I used rose red ink across the raised image for a little more color.  All the ovals including the lime were cut with nestabilities dies.  I chose Cherish as my sentiment because that is what I Wish
for all to do with their summer memories.  And of course had to add a little bling!
