Let's go camping Challenge

I chose to do a Halloween wall hanging for this challenge.  I used Who's out there Ali from Simply Betty stamps.  I also played with the GIMP program.  I found a picture of a pumpkin patch in daylight.  I added Ali then decided I wanted a more spooky feel so I added fog in the foreground and a moon and darkness to the rest.  I also added a little light to her flashlight.  Next I printed out the picture and colored Ali with Copic's.  The little kitten is a dollar stamp that I got from I think is was JoAnn's.  Colored the kitty and pumpkin with copic's also.  Next I matted and cut out what was going to be a hanger handle (the black at the top).  Oops though I made it to narrow at the bottom edges and while trying to reinforce laid it on a piece of orange cardstock.  It struck me as a Vampireish looking head and that's where the rest came in.  I added the sentiment ( Protect your Pumpkins that was colored with copics and tucked some eyeballs under the edge.

Monster Mash Party Hop

Hello all I 'd like to welcome you to the Monster Mash Party Hop featuring Simply Betty Stamps!  This is an anything goes hop showcasing Betty's many wonderful and versatile images.  If you have reached my site by way of Kathy Gillon then you are on the right track.  If not please hop on over to the start at Simply Betty Stamps .  Now on to my project!

I decided to use the Addams Family digis.  My project is an organizer.  I chose "A family affair" for the title because of the wonderful welcome, advice and friendship I have received from all the amazing and talented crafters who frequent Betty's fan page, it really feels like an extended family. I put all the images into my publisher program to create a "family portrait". I then colored the image with pencils, and distressed using  Tim Holtz tea dye ink.  I matted the image on black card and punched the border with a M.S. punch. The title was printed on silver card cut then punched with another M.S. punch.  I added a little line of bling below the title and the dangling bats are a ribbon that is adhered to the back.  I used the same silver paper to punch a doily from a S.U. die and sponged the edges with tuxedo black from Memento.  I created the flower with an EK punch from the black and silver leftover.  The eyes are epoxy stick-ons.  I then added a feathered cord to the inside of the rings and some purple, green and black eyeball, ribbons.  I will be able to keep cards I make in the pockets, and there are spaces to put birthdays and special occasions on each pocket :)
