New Steampunk Release

I am so very excited to have been asked to join in the new Steampunk Release. I hope you are all excited by the new Steampunks as well as the Challenge Blog.

Now I should be the last stop on your hop these images are so amazing it was hard to choose 2 for my project.  I have started a journal/altered art Steampunk book.  Here is my first page using "Bride of Frankenstein"  I have colored her with Copic's then after cutting out my image I decided I wanted a distressed edge so I burned the edges.  That is a real mirror on the 2nd page I had to cut out a little niche for it to fit in and am pretty happy with the results as this is my first altered book. She is just such a lovely fun image to color.

My second image is "Grave of Lenore"  another amazing image.  Such a sad thing and she so lovely.  After coloring her with copics I found 1 sheet of this gorgeous pink and gold paper and new it had to be my background.  I added the black behind the image and used the embossed paper to cut out around a black butterfly that just felt right with her.  The green lace is from my stash and the silver skull was added one piece at a time with my I rock tool.  The page opposite is just some journaling spots for me.

Well I hope you liked my pages, but more importantly I hope you loved the new images and blog.  Below is the hop list just in case you didn't start from the beginning.  Now have some hoptacular fun but don't forget to leave a little love for all the wonderful inspirations of the fabulous Design Team!
