Totally 50's challenge

That's right, let's pull out those Poodle skirts, greaser hair do's and go back in time to the 50's!

2nd Showcase day for the Back to School teens from SBS

So here I have another bookmark, a decorated lunch tote and 2 cards I have been having computer issues so crossing my fingers this will upload. :)

 Ok so this bookmark was a joint project with Emily and I, I colored it and she picked out the duct tape colors for "her" bookmark. :) Hope you like my Rio.  A little of the image got cut out with using this punch so click the link and check out the full version.

Lunch break miller is such a cutie.  Just a note though the printable iron on does not work well with the thermal lunch tote.  At least not this one :( everything started peeling :(

Really great image and if you have digital editing software you could change the paper to lots of different notes for many occasion. Endless possibilities come to mind.....

New Challenge Day at SBS

So it's back to school time and for the challenge we are doing something for a teacher.  I decided to re-vamp a plain old pencil cup.  I used Alphabet designer paper, washi  tape with some inspiring words pink bling and of course an SBS image.

Release Day Yay!!! SBS has a fab. new set of Teens just in time for Back to School!

So here where I live our kiddo's are getting ready to head on back to school.  Aug. 20th to be exact.  I was so excited to see the new school teens since that is what we have been getting ready for.  So today I get to show you 

Christian Locker Mess. 

This awesome image so reminds me of actually both my boys, however the saying is definitely my Kyle I just had to decorate his 5 subject notebook.  I have colored Christian with my copic markers used a blue jean paper and a lined paper to add a little to the cover of the notebook.  Then since it looked a little bare to me I added some washi tapes.  Hope you like it and don't forget to hop over and see what the rest of the DT have created for you.

Our Challenge for this week is Heavy on Embellishments and the DT

 is using the Hollywood Teens.
Anyone can enter, but to win a prize you must use an SBS image, so lets see what you can do..


For this Challenge I have used Christian the dark hero
Christian is colored with copics.  My embellishments are Star brads, foil flowers which I added tiny black brads to the center, Halloween black glitter chipboard accents which I cut apart to use the bat.  The shaker window is filled with bronze and black seed beads and the bat on top I punched out of black duct tape.

SBS 1st challenge for July!!!

Well our first Challenge back since our SBS Birthday Celebration so lets get this started off with a Red / White/ Blue Challenge

Use any SBS image and join in our fun!

My summer image is
chilin' Lola
First I made a 2 page layout

 

This is what I used to color Lola

Skin: YR27 and E15

Hair: B32, B34, B24 and R29

Clothing: Only used W1 for some shading then sprayed with perfect pearls

Other: Jewelry I used Y18

Then since my daughter loved this so much I also made a card for her.  See she leaves for camp and will be gone over the 4th so I wanted her to know I was thinking about her.

Inside her poem reads:

I know you are having FUN

So I try not to be sad

But I really miss you Princess

and so does your dad.

We will see you soon 

Of that we are so GLAD

Then you can tell us stories

Of all the FUN you've had!

I used leftover pieces from my pages for the card.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SBS!!!!!

Today is day 1 of week 2 of the SBS Birthday Celebration.  In honor of this Irene and I  have chosen a line and made birthday cards to showcase for you.  My line is the Teen Scene Summer Line.  We were asked to pick one of our favorite lines to do up which was for me the most difficult part of this assignment.  I don't think Betty has a single line I don't like to play with, and I have a multitude of "favorites".  In the end I choose the summer line with my daughters help, a summer birthday she said why not do a summer line. 

I love all the images for different reasons.  Some are sheer fun, like the Betty's some remind me of my kids when little The Jude's , and now the Teen Scene.  The Steampunks are always a favorite, I love the romantic flare of these.  Along with the images themselves Betty is a wonderful and Generous Lady and the friends on the fan page are awesome.  Top all that off with the fabulous DT who are such caring and kind women, I am lucky to know them all and if not for SBS I would have never been apart of such a wonderful and amazing, not to mention talented group.  I am honored to call you all my friends. 

Now before this all gets to mushy I would like to show you my first birthday card.  This is Lifeguard Christian what a hottie!!!!

Release Day At SBS WooHoo! Drumroll Please..................

 Teen Scene Vikings and Dragons!

 These are so cute and so much fun to play with.  I hope you have hopped along with our O so talented DT to see what wonderful projects they have made.  If not you can find the full list at the bottom of my post.

Viking Jude

Pretty simple layout for this one, the sun is a spellbinders die, and the clouds are christmas ornament dies from stampin up.  I folded them a little less than half for this look.

Super cute image with stickles on the dino's spots.  Girlie needs her bling!

The corner punches are Martha Stewart and the stencil I used was a freebie from a magazine.

The burgundy backgrounds here is actually felt I cut with the bigshot.  The accents are a spellbinders die that I cut and then used to stencil the silver accents.

Rio is such a bold personality that I decided on these very bold colors.  The red dragon skin background cut from a stampin up die is again felt.  The black paper is embossed with swiss dots then inked very lightly with white.  The butterfly is another magazine freebie.

This is another sweet image.

This is a card and bookmark duo. 

 Card and bookmark seperate.  I decided to put the same sentiment on the pocket that holds the bookmark.
