March 12th, Frames Challenge at SCC

            Another Challenge day at SCC!  This challenge is all about the frames.  Decorate a frame, frame your SBS image on your card or page, or as in my case make your own frame for your image.  This week the DT decided to use the Betty's 4 collection. Found in stamp HERE form and digi form HERE.  I am using Birthday Betty, isn't she just adorable.  I have cut my spiderweb frame from the cricut cartridge Happy Hauntings.  The cute little bat buddy and and the present are from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge.  Betty herself is colored with copics.  I hope you like my Frame and I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with.

Release Day!!!! New Teen Scene "Spring has Sprung"

I hope you have been hopping along and enjoying the Spring Teen Scene images.   They are so adorable and so much fun to play with colors with.  Here is what I have done.....

First project was a 2 page layout for my boys :) I am using "Daisy Boy Miller, and  Beetle Christian"

 Next up we have "Fluttering Butterfly Betty"  Colored with copics I used a stampin up lattice die  and then embossed over it to create the white background.

 Introducing..."Mothman Chris" Just a simple card layout all based on the purple I colored his flower.

Next up is "Flower Child London"  I took this a step further and colored her skin using very light red/violet colors.   2nd pic just shows her sentiment on the inside of the card.

On to "Miss Ladybug Lola"  How absolutely sweet is she super fun to color and useful for many occasions.  Card front and then a close-up to follow.

"Princess Bee Rio"

Last but by no means least we have "Buzz Buzzing Jude"  this cad is called a spring card.  The base is made with a single sheet of cardstock which is then folded, refolded and one more time....:) which makes it pop up and sit when it's removed from the envelope.  Instructions can be found here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/spring_card/ 

I made one using these directions but did not like the size so I bumped it up to a 6"x12" piece to start with.  I also added a larger layer for my front.  First photo is the card standing on it's own.  The 2nd is of what it looks like from the side and then just an image close-up.

New Challenge from SCC

 Head on over to Simply Challenged Challenges for the details and rules.  Don't forget that you HAVE to use an SBS image for a chance at the prize.

For this Challenge the whole DT is using an image from the 

 Teen Scene Munster Birthday Collection.

So I followed the instructions and lightened the lines till I could barely see them printed Chris out and started coloring.  It is a really neat technique and I do hope you all give it a go.  What a fantastic image for a teen's birthday!!!

Collection 6 Steampunk from SBS

Hello everyone so I had the amazing opportunity to help release this new collection.  The hard part was choosing which 2 I wanted to color for you all the images (as always) are sooo super awesome so the decision was really hard.
